Search Overview
YeeroAI provides a unified search experience that lets you find anything across the entire platform. Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) from anywhere to open the search dialog.
Global Search
The global search dialog accessible via Ctrl+K provides:
- Quick search — Type keywords to search across chats, messages, files, folders, models, settings, and apps.
- Enter to search — Press Enter to execute the search.
- Arrow navigation — Use ↑↓ to navigate results.
- AI-powered — Semantic search understands the meaning behind your query, not just keywords.
Search Categories
Results are organized into categories for easy filtering:

| Chats | Your conversation list. |
| Messages | Individual messages within conversations, including semantic search results with similarity scores. |
| Folders | Chat, message, and app folders. |

| Settings | Application settings and preferences. |
| My Files | User-uploaded files. |
| AI Files | AI-generated files. |
| Apps | Your AI applications. |
AI Semantic Search
For messages and files, YeeroAI supports semantic search powered by vector embeddings:
- Describe what you're looking for in natural language.
- AI finds results based on meaning, not just keyword matching.
- Results include a similarity score (percentage) showing how closely they match your query.
Use semantic search when you know what you're looking for but not the exact words. Use keyword search when you know the specific term.
Search History
YeeroAI remembers your recent searches:
- Previous search queries are saved automatically.
- Click a history item to re-run the search.
- Delete — Remove individual history entries.
- Clear History — Remove all search history.
- History entries show relative timestamps (just now, minutes ago, hours ago, days ago).
Recent Access
The search dialog also shows recently accessed items:
- Chats, messages, files, models, settings, folders, and apps you've recently visited.
- Remove — Remove individual items from recent access.
- Clear All — Clear the entire recent access list.
Quick Actions
When you open the search dialog without typing any keywords, a grid of quick action cards is displayed to help you quickly perform common operations.
Action Types

Smart Sorting
Quick actions are automatically sorted by your usage frequency, keeping your most-used actions at the top. You can click "Reset" to restore the default order.
When you type keywords in the search box, quick actions are also filtered by those keywords, helping you quickly find the action you need.
Result Actions
From search results, you can:
- Click any result to navigate directly to it.
- Go to chat — Open the source conversation for messages.
- Add to folder — Save a message to a folder.
- Delete — Remove a message (with confirmation).
- Download file — Download a file result.
- For chats, select a specific branch to view.
